"Must See TV" From the Land of Masterpiece Theatre

Reality TV show recreates Camp X-Ray (Daily Mail - This is LONDON 09/02/05 - News and city section)

"Volunteers on a reality TV show have been subjected to sexual humiliation and physical cruelty in a copy of the Guantanamo Bay military camp. The seven men, including three Muslims, endured painful stress positions, sleep deprivation and extreme temperatures. Scenes for the programme, The Guantanamo Guidebook, were filmed in a warehouse in East London which had been fitted with cages, interrogation rooms and surveillance equipment. Presented by Jon Snow, it examined how they stood up to 'torture-lite' after being left in the hands of a team of former U.S. military interrogators for 48 hours.
The volunteers agreed to be subjected to some of the conditions and methods used at the notorious Camp X-Ray in Cuba where hundreds of 'enemy combatants' have been held without trial. At the start, some of those taking part supported the techniques used in the U.S. naval base as part of President George Bush's 'war on terror'. But after being subjected to religious and sexual humiliation and forced nudity, two of them vomited, another soiled himself and one dropped out after seven hours due to the onset of hypothermia...They are due to be broadcast in a late-night slot this month..."

So "Torture-lite" is the newest reality show in the Dismal Isles - no doubt this will become a play for the West End within a year...just some more dirt to throw around.
But consider what the latest court decision dealt the USA - rights to complete access to US courts for these "people" who do not even meet the requirements of the Geneva Convention as an enemy combattant! Maybe they should be allowed to vote in the next Presidential Election!
